How is it done?

The procedure requires an examination and preliminary preparation. The decayed or damaged area is cleaned, and an impression of the prepared tooth is taken and sent to the laboratory. A temporary filling may be applied while the permanent filling is being prepared in the lab. Once ready, the inlay filling is placed in the tooth. After final adjustments, the procedure is completed.

How long do inlay fillings last?
