During the application of Emax crown, is tooth reduction performed?
- Before crown procedures, a “tooth preparation” process must be conducted. Patients often associate this process with “tooth cutting, filing, or reducing.”
- However, applying any crown or laminate veneer without preparation is not possible.
- We perform preparation procedures to create space for the new veneer and to enhance the adherence of crown or laminate veneers.
- “Non-prep applications” are also possible, but the number of patients suitable for this is quite limited due to tooth positions.
