How long does the All-on-6 implant treatment take?

The treatment duration can be around 3 months on average, but can vary between patients. The placement of implants and the subsequent healing process are the longest stages that influence the total treatment time.

What materials are used?

Dental implants are usually made using titanium. The dental prosthesis is often made from durable materials like acrylic, composite resin, or porcelain.

How is it performed?

Initially, an examination and assessment are carried out, and a treatment plan is created based on your aesthetic preferences, such as tooth color, shape, and size. Then, six titanium implants are placed in the jawbone, and time is allowed for osseointegration, where they fuse securely with the jawbone. Once healed, a permanent dental bridge is fabricated and attached to the implants.

Is it a painful process?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia to minimize discomfort. Mild to moderate soreness may be experienced post-procedure but is usually manageable with over-the-counter painkillers.

Can All-on-6 implants be removable?

All-on-six implants support a fixed dental bridge, which is securely attached and not meant to be removed in daily life.

What are the advantages?

What are the disadvantages?

While All-on-6 is a robust solution for most people, those with severe bone loss may require additional treatments, like bone grafting, before implant placement.
